Plasco completes Environmental Screening Report for Plasco Trail Road (PTR)

July 5, 2011

Plasco Energy Group is continuing its work to re-permit its PTR municipal solid waste conversion facility, currently regulated under Ontario Regulations 253/06 and 254/06, to a permanent permit under the Ministry’s Waste Management Projects, Regulation 101/07.  The proposed permits would enable the Trail Road facility to continue to convert municipal solid waste into electricity and other valuable products such as construction aggregate and water as a permanent commercial demonstration and development facility.

The results of the studies undertaken for the project indicate that PTR will not have significant net environmental effects during operation. Plasco intends to proceed with the permanent operation of PTR as a commercial demonstration and development facility subject to mitigation, impact management measures and obtaining the necessary approvals.
