We turn garbage into electricity — how is our process unique?

The Project

Plasco's proposal is to finance, build and operate a waste conversion facility that will convert approximately 100,000 tons per year of the Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority's waste into green power and other useful products.

Salinas Valley, California

On January 20, 2011, the Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority (SVSWA), selected Plasco’s waste conversion technology to be the focus of the required environmental review through the California Environmental Quality Act.

The Waste Authority will be the Lead Agency to undertake an environmental impact study, which will include a public outreach process to give the community an opportunity to review and understand the Plasco solution and technology.

Once this process is concluded, the goal is to build and operate a waste conversion facility that will convert approximately 100,000 tons per year of the Authority’s waste into green power and other useful products. Plasco’s solution will compliment the community’s efforts to reduce waste and maximize recycling programs, helping surpass the Authority’s goal of 75% diversion.

Plasco Energy Group is currently a member of the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce and the Monterey County Business Council.
