changing the way communities deal with waste

Find us on
We turn garbage into electricity — how is our process unique?

The Project

Plasco's proposal is to finance, build and operate a waste conversion facility that will convert approximately 100,000 tons per year of the Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority's waste into green power and other useful products.

Environmental Performance

A significant part of Plasco’s philosophy is a commitment to using the best technology to minimize our facilities’ environmental footprint and to have an environmental performance that far exceeds regulatory standards.

Plasco offers the following environmental benefits to Salinas Valley:

  • Improves local air quality and reduces Salinas Valley’s carbon footprint
  • Reduces greenhouse gas emissions from the displacement of fossil fuel or natural gas power generation and avoided methane from landfill waste
  • Preserves natural resources for future generations

The Plasco Guarantee

If we fail to meet our committed environmental performance we will:

  • Remove the plant at no cost and return the land to its original state
  • End the supply agreement
